Eric Stokes was born in Jacksonville, Florida. He studied English and Spanish at the University of North Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Arts. He moved from Jacksonville to Kentucky at 27 to be with family.
Eric enjoys nature and walking in parks and in the woods, classical music, humanities, history, religion, and mass choirs. He is a fan of the Blind Boys of Alabama and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Eric enjoys and studies poetry, and sometimes likes to study the lyrics of hymns, songs, and musicals as poetic forms. Eric and his then-wife adopted two children, his biological cousin, a boy, from the Kinship Care Program and a girl from the "foster care system". He cherishes his role as father and the time he gets to spend with his two precious young children, who are separated by only 39 days in age. Eric is thankful to his own adoptive Father for his undeserved love through Jesus Christ. He feels called to Christian ministry though the specific venue is still unclear, and hopes that God may use his words to draw believers closer to Himself and the lost to salvation. Eric regards freedom as the highest human value in the here-and-now and lifts his voice in defense of it. |
